Sugar on a Stick

And, no I don't mean a lollipop, although that is another form of sugar on a stick.

The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) program has produced some fallout, and the result would be Sugar on a Stick. Its an educational version of Linux, geared towards younger children and runs off a Live CD or a USB key. I have played iwth it and its quite interesting. My youngest daughter took it for a test run (even thogh she's 18) and she relly liked it.

Running out of space

The University of New Brunswick just keeps on coming through. Last week 8 PC's and 2 laptops. This week 10 more PC's and they have another 20 or so for next week.

I've really come to like Damn Small Linux. Such a small footprint and quite robust. It even runs Open Office! Networking is also quite easy, and I like the fact it has Samba built in and easy to configure.

Thought I would upload some more photos as well.

Soon I should have some updates on the fund raising, and will float some ideas… Continue
